The Sweet Corner

The Absence of Absolutes

How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that shows on CBS.

The storyline is basically about a man relaying the story of how he met his wife to his children.

Constant element in each episode is the presence of the narrator's four cosmopolitan friends who are highly involved in his life.

Nominated and won several Emmy's, the show is (technically) a success.

The actors play their roles very naturally hilarious.

I even have one favorite episode.

But when you watch it and forgot to back up your filtering system,

it will definitely just make you laugh.

The show is bursting with subliminals.

How it condones the things that are highly offensive

is so much like how the West is becoming now.

"The Universe, being lame, boring and being cool" have been wittily redefined by the show.

Yes, "well played."

(If you know what I mean.)

grateful

the fear doubles when i'm aware that i am
vulnerable. i cannot explain why exactly.
what i know is that i was led to this.
i think my soul is being trained for something.

or even dream of, infinitely beyond our highest prayers,
desires, thoughts or hopes.'

as soon as possible

Give it a few more time

and I would not have to look for you anymore.

But I will always remember you.

I have to.

Astigmatic but almost 20/20.

more reasons to smile about :)

I accompanied daddy this morning to the clinic.

After the checkup was an unplanned trip to Farmers' Market in Cubao (Quezon City, Philippines)

It's been a while...

Welcome aboard!

fat, fat crabs clinging for dear life!

Manong vendor was friendly enough to give me an instant crustacean lesson.
When I noticed him checking on something underneath the crab's carapace,
he said he is segregating them according to fattiness.
The more aligue (that bright orange thing you carefully scoop out and mashed in steamed rice),
the higher its grade. Mrs. Crab here, has lots of aligue and this batch came from Roxas City (Capiz, Philippines)
(wink! wink!)

scallops!

hay...

Walk some more and the trail will lead you to the meat and fresh vegetables section.

Then, we passed by a cold store outside the market called Wei Wei.

Finally, near the area was a quick visit to the eye clinic.

Dra. Vicky has been my eye doctor since we moved in Q.C.

She's also been a friend to Earl and me.

She said my eyes have improved

(medically and figuratively).

Sunny Day! :)

I miss nanay and kuya.

But today is a sunny day! (literally and figuratively).

I met kuya at the terminal before he went home to Bulacan

(meet and greet lang talaga).

We have not seen each other since we moved in to their unit

(just two blocks away from our old place).

He asked me to make kwento but I can't.

Because there's just too much to tell and with so little time.

So he just told me about how he has been at his new office.

Kuya is so cool and funny just like daddy and nanay.

:-)

Then, I realized I also miss one of my favorite activities in the world:

going to the grocery (in the midst of randomness).

Such a lot of amazing stuff there.

Good night!

Thank you very much, Kuya for being my encourager,
for teaching me how to drive,
and for letting me navigate through life's transitions.
Happy it's almost our birthday!
Daddy and Nanay super love you! :)
