Magandang Umaga!

Morning becomes even more sunny, upbeat and optimistic when you have

sinangag, tuyo or danggit, itlog na pula, kamatis, mangga at mainit na kape sa hapag,

a classic Pinoy breakfast ensemble.

yum!

But when on the go, this humble salted bread paired

with hot choco can make a great morning jumpstart!

You Are Here...

yes, there is so much to look forward to,
but there is only ONE thing to always look back at
especially in times of sleepless nights, skipping meal time (but overeating),
ingress and egress.
at the end of the day, it's always a privilege to serve, knowing that
the cause is something bigger than yourself.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might that His arrows

may go swift and far.
-Kahlil Gibran

I am so being fixed.

Sweet Sabado!

going to the grocery, making breakfast on weekends, brewing tea for my coteachers

and making them laugh are just some of the super many things that make my heart smile.

the simplest things. the real ones.

today is saturday. minimal errands to do :)

i got to visit my favorite herb garden in Q.C.

http://msbfi.com

one thing that i really want to do more often.

awesomeness in randomness!

lezz gow!!!!!

basil
more basil!!!

then i met with some friends and watched BM show.

http://balletmanila.com.ph

im not a super fan of classical ballet or dancing in general

maybe because i really can't dance properly. i want to learn but i just simply can't.

i tried Zumba last year and it was a funny not fun experience.

i think i need more time and practice to learn things that require great kinesthetic skill.

but i appreciate dancing, contemporary or classical.

one reason would be because of the music that syncs with it.

hahaha! :)
after BM, Zyre and i found this cutesy coffee corner
along Donada St.
menu is not so pricey yet yummy.
they also have cakes.
:)
the concept of the store's interior is minimalist.
two floors, not so big but well lit and cozy.
wall on the stairway is painted white
and decorated with super cute doodles on Sintra
(sorry, i didnt get a snapshot of it).
this wall of framed photos faces the coffee/tea bar,
cake chiller and cashier.

i miss my fairy and gabbie.

The Sweet Corner

The Absence of Absolutes

How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that shows on CBS.

The storyline is basically about a man relaying the story of how he met his wife to his children.

Constant element in each episode is the presence of the narrator's four cosmopolitan friends who are highly involved in his life.

Nominated and won several Emmy's, the show is (technically) a success.

The actors play their roles very naturally hilarious.

I even have one favorite episode.

But when you watch it and forgot to back up your filtering system,

it will definitely just make you laugh.

The show is bursting with subliminals.

How it condones the things that are highly offensive

is so much like how the West is becoming now.

"The Universe, being lame, boring and being cool" have been wittily redefined by the show.

Yes, "well played."

(If you know what I mean.)

(to be continued)

grateful

the fear doubles when i'm aware that i am
vulnerable. i cannot explain why exactly.
what i know is that i was led to this.
i think my soul is being trained for something.

truly 'God is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask
or even dream of, infinitely beyond our highest prayers,
desires, thoughts or hopes.'

as soon as possible

Give it a few more time

and I would not have to look for you anymore.

But I will always remember you.

I have to.

Astigmatic but almost 20/20.

more reasons to smile about :)

I accompanied daddy this morning to the clinic.

After the checkup was an unplanned trip to Farmers' Market in Cubao (Quezon City, Philippines)

It's been a while...

Welcome aboard!

fat, fat crabs clinging for dear life!

Manong vendor was friendly enough to give me an instant crustacean lesson.
When I noticed him checking on something underneath the crab's carapace,
he said he is segregating them according to fattiness.
The more aligue (that bright orange thing you carefully scoop out and mashed in steamed rice),
the higher its grade. Mrs. Crab here, has lots of aligue and this batch came from Roxas City (Capiz, Philippines)
(wink! wink!)

scallops!

hay...

Walk some more and the trail will lead you to the meat and fresh vegetables section.

Then, we passed by a cold store outside the market called Wei Wei.

multiple choicessss!!!!!

for a soup buff like me, this is nirvana!

Finally, near the area was a quick visit to the eye clinic.

Dra. Vicky has been my eye doctor since we moved in Q.C.

She's also been a friend to Earl and me.

She said my eyes have improved

(medically and figuratively).
